About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as I can about people and places in this world

ABOUT ME

I'm very outgoing, friendly, and love to laugh. When I travel, it's more about the people I meet than the landmarks I see. I love a good pub crawl. Music festivals and concerts are a few of my favorite things... I may or may not be known to start mosh pits. I see life as an exciting journey with always something new to learn.

I've been called a Couchsurfing ambassador by one of my surfers and I dig it.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe there is so much to do, see, and learn in this world. Some people never leave their familiar surroundings and in doing so, miss out on incredible experiences and people. Every person I meet through my travels adds something to my life, and I love that about traveling above anything else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To me, couch surfing is a way to pay it forward; someone helps you out and you in turn host others to repay that favor. As travelers, we need to work together to help each other and make these experiences safe and fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience couch surfing was in a time of desperation during the Iceland Airwaves festival when all hostels in town were booked. I had never thought to try it, but went out on a limb and ended up meeting a new friend. The experience opened my eyes to how awesome this site can be for helping other travelers, being helped, and meeting new friends from all over the world.

Interests

I love traveling, photography, learning languages, all things outdoorsy, reading, horseback riding, singing, and music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to all sorts of books, movies, and music but especially enjoy classic literature and journalistic pieces on international topics, indie music, and comedies, documentaries, and foreign films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All my travels have revealed new and amazing things. Among my favorite experiences were surfing in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, galloping my Icelandic pony through volcanic ruins in the countryside outside of Reykjavik, and hiking the beautiful Hill of Howth in County Dublin, Ireland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my enthusiasm for life and positive energy. I love people, especially travelers like myself who tend to be more open-minded and in tune with the important, non-material things in life. I believe you can learn something from every person you meet, it's just a matter of spending time together to find out.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you to crochet, share some (possibly for you) new music/books, sing in your jam sesh, make you laugh, deliver some public health education (this one is in high demand), or just keep you company out on the town or lounging at home.
