About Me
Hey I am Andrea. Already ten months ago our baby boy Maximilian was born. To spent as much time together as possible Michael and I decided to travel together for 6 weeks instead of working. We both want to see him grow and learn new things not only at home.
It's very easy and uncomplicated to travel with a baby. He is very curious, loves to meet people and children. The world is a great playground to discover new things every moment.
Our mission: Sometimes in the daily routine we rather live to work, but we should remember to work in order to live and enjoy our life.
2 years ago I traveled around South East Asia and Colombia for ten months and had already many great experiences.
Before I had quit my job after having a hard time on it. It was time to push the reset button on my life and time to care more about me, my family and health. Traveling and meeting people gives me the opportunity to get to know other cultures as well as myself. It opens up new perspectives. It teaches me that it's possible to actively construct our lives and therefore live life to its fullest.
It's not possible to write all about us. Let's meet in person. :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's great that strangers turn to friends within a few hours. Furthermore, it's possible to get to know the local life style and the culture more in depth. It offers the chance to travel away from the beaten tracks.
So far I was hosted by very kind locals. I also met couchsurfing friends just to spent time together, to exchange thoughts about different life styles and to explore the surrounding.
Unfortunately no one has sent a couchsurfing request to stay in my flat cause I lived in a very small village close to Nuremberg. We now live in Hamburg and I hope to host guests as soon as my baby boy is a little older.
Interests
Besides spending time with my family and friends I love to exchange thoughts about life, to listen to stories of locals and travelers, to laugh, to do sports, dancing (especially salsa), kitesurfing, any leisure time activity, ...
and of course traveling :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just living together with a child is amazing.
Luckily, I remember more than one amazing thing. It's always amazing to step out of the comfort zone and do something unusual or unexpected. It was crazy to skydive for instance. I won't forget that feeling jumping out of the plane in 4000 and 6000 meters.
I swam with the sharks - that's a great memory for any scary situation (eg at work).
And I am really glad that I started backpacking just 7 years ago. It changed my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Every day offers new chances. Just let it happen.
I often remember friends and myself that we are the producer and the main actor of the movie called "my life". Action!
Think positive - this means more than just a phrase to me. It has such a strong effect on my energy and overall happiness. During my journey I learned to trust in a positive outcome if something doesn't work out as planned. And I learned to be more aware of special moments...
I also like to help out whenever possible. It was such a great experience to teach English to children in Sri Lanka after spontaneously getting to know a teacher on the way to a bus station. Chances like this are precious.
