About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Continue to live in a world where many merely exist

ABOUT ME

Bonjour!

My name is Andrea and I am currently double majoring in French and History, while pursuing a Concurrent Education degree at a bilingual institution in Canada. Eventually I would like to pursue teaching, using my Concurrent Education degree.

I'm often described as friendly, outgoing, dramatic and definitively adventurous! Right now my adventurous side is taking over. I'm dying to go out there and explore the world one adventure at a time.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that life needs to be lived, that emotions need to be felt and the world needs to be explored! I don't want to live a normal life, I want to venture off the beaten-path and find out who I am and what the world has to offer. I've always been heavily involved in a variety of things from clubs to sports teams and student governments. I just want to do as much as I can in my life and learn from my accumulated experiences!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to surf around in 2017. I would be happy to share some information, traditions and Canadian culture with my hosts!

Interests

I have a passion for life and education, and love reading, writing, photography, tennis, listening to music, debates and playing board games at Snakes and Lattes with my incredibly competitive friends. As a nature lover, I also love hiking and long walks, which are usually a source of artistic inspiration.

Music, Movies, and Books

I may or may not have commitment issues. And these issues may or may not permeate my "favorite" movies, music and books. Right now I love listening to French, Italian and classical music (it helps me study and improve my oral language skills). I adore musical theatre and have seen quite a few Broadway productions in my short lifespan. As for movies, anything historical, musical or romantic usually captures my attention. I do however much prefer TV series because they last longer and are able to truly identify with the characters. I am a HUGE book nerd, so feel free to recommend any novels or series you think I might enjoy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping off a cliff, I felt free. It was the first time I knew I wanted to be a traveler. I can't even begin to describe how completely liberating and exhilarating it was. I would totally do it again.

Teach, Learn, Share

Through my travels (I know this is cliche) I hope to find myself. I want to learn about the history, architecture, traditions, botany and cuisine of each culture and country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Funny stories, recipes, laughter, dancing, karaoke (beware my singing though haha)
