About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world, live in the moment, experience new things and to never ever stop learning.
ABOUT ME
I'm an outgoing, fun loving Canadian girl who loves to travel and experience new things. I love meeting new people, and am always keen to go try something new. I am active and love the outdoors- hiking, climbing, diving, swimming, surfing, camping, yoga, running, etc- and think that sometimes these are the best ways to experience a new place. I also love to socialise and have a good time! Have been on the move for 2 and a half years now- and have met the most amazing people and have made lifelong friends. Didn't really know what the plan was when I set off- and had no expectations to travel as long as I have been. Proof that a positive outlook really can make the world of a difference :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Choose joy, and meaning and purpose, love, fulfillment, sincerity and truth. Be relentlessly positive, and no matter what else happens, you’ll live a positive life"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
First time using Couchsurfing- have had friends suggest it because of their amazing experiences!
Only surfing now- but look forward to returning the favor once I'm settled, somewhere :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I haven't used this site yet- I have done some couchsurfing while in Australia. In 2009 I did a 4 month Europe trip with my best friend- we met so many amazing friends, many of whom were Aussie. So- when I decided to book a flight to Oz last September, many of those friends got in contact with my and offered up their couches/spare rooms! A great friend got me on my feet in Sydney, and I have gotten to see the Gold Coast, Sunny Coast, Byron Bay, Brisbane, and the beautiful towns along the Great Ocean Road because of old travel mates looking to help out a friend. My experience in Oz so far has been nothing short of amazing, and I am so grateful for those chance encounters in my past who led me to such great people.
Interests
I am a true adrenaline junkie, passionate about travel, nutrition, people, places, and I love being outdoors. I love good food, company and enjoying a night out!
Whenever I can commit to a place for long enough I plan on going back to school to study Environmental law, a career which will not only be fulfilling but also allow me to travel and experience places and ideas in a new and unique way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love most all music and love hearing others' playlists to broaden my own library, absolutely love to read, and am always keen to see a movie I haven't seen, or an old fav' I can watch again and again.
Favourites are hard to pick, though- really depends on the mood and circumstances!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is such a hard one...
2 weeks trekking the Annapurna Curcuit in the Nepali Himalayas during monsoon season (very few other trekkers). WOW. Some of the most stunning views, clean crisp air, and amazing people I have ever had the blessing to come across in my life. Strenuous at times, but worth every second. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
