About Me

CURRENT MISSION

after living two years abroad, in the USA, I came back home in Colombia to finish my college studies. Found a job as an english instructor and now I'm a coordinator, so basically I work and rest! And would love to travel soon somewhere!

ABOUT ME

Hello there! I'm a 27 year-old colombian girl.
I'm a very relaxed person, I don't like to be running or hurrying to do something. Like to plan or schedule and accomplish! I'm a bit shy when I'm knowing new people, but I like to hear other people thoughts, point of views lifestyle, hopes and dreams. I enjoy my free time by walking, roller skating, hiking, watching movies, reading books or cooking.
I like to explore, discover new places and have a great time. I believe that this experiences make you grow as a person and enrich your life. I love music...who doesn't? and learn new cultures!

PHILOSOPHY

I like to believe always the good of the people. I live my life doing what I think is best for me and respecting other people boundaries, thoughts and desires.
I like to help my friends or others in every way that I can. Learn the good stuff and letting pass the bad ones. I apply that ancient proverb by Confucius "don't do to others what you don't want to others do to you" as much as I can and living a godly live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time here, I don't have any previous experience such as this. Although, for what is worth...when I'm staying over with friends or visit them. i will always pick up after my self, I'm not a messy person and I help around as much as I can.

Interests

I really like meeting new people with different life styles, thoughts and philosophies. I like to visit museums of art or History (recently I was in New York and it was amazing going to the MOMA and MET. Like to visit landmarks, historic places, restaurants, zoos, scenery, waterfronts and everything that has to do with the local culture...like food, music and arts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love action movies, superheroes (MARVEL), the Fast and the Furious franchise too! HUNGER GAMES (of course girl power) and comedies! also based on books or true story movies. Disney movies like Wall-e! Up, Nemo and such cos they are fun!
Music...real music from the 4 seasons by Vivaldi, Josh Groban all the way through pop, rock. About books I like history books, novels, fiction, biographies and everything that expands your mind intellectually or personally.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that moving all alone away from your home family and everything you know, It's hard and either 2 things can happen; you thrive and success or like it's very common you can't handle the cultural shock and end up going back home. I feel proud of myself because even that I'm missing lots of things back home, I'm gaining here lots more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach how to cook some Colombian food that you want to eat (even if we find the ingredients cook it together) and of course some spanish if interested. I would like to learn anything. I really enjoy discovering and exploring. I would like to share my culture.
