About Me
CURRENT MISSION
turning my dreams into memories
there are still so many things on my to-do list, e.g. achieving the black belt in Taekwondo (currently got the red belt, two more to go), hiking to the basecamp of Mt. Everest and finding a country where I'd like to live since I think about leaving Germany in a couple of years
ABOUT ME
I'm a very happy person, always looking for something new to discover and to experience. Sure that travelling is one of the things I enjoy most.
I have a variety of interests, I love anything that has to do with nature (hiking, swimming, just going for a walk or relaxing on the beach with a good book), photography (especially during my holidays), cooking (and eating of course) or reading books about philosophy, culture or anything about science. I don't read gossip newspapers.
Things I like:
good conversations about life, experiences, interests... one can learn so much from other people
music - I usually listen to classical music but I also like rock / metal (Volbeat, Billy Talent, Placebo...)
food - I'm vegetarian but there are still so many different styles of food that I like to cook or to eat
I don't drink alcohol very often but if I do I like whisky (real whisky, no Jack Daniel's or something) or good Gin
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always try to stay with locals when I'm travelling - either via Couchsurfing or via AirBnB
In hostels I always feel like being in some sort of parallel existence within the city as there are no locals but only other travellers. Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against travellers but when I am somewhere I try to taste the reallife of the city and I regard staying with locals as a great opportunity to get this "I'm at home" feeling that I appreciate so much.

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually don't watch movies (doesn't mean I wouldn't be up for going to the cinema but it's not on my priority list) but I do like books. My favorite book - a bit special but anyway - is "the ring of truth - the wisdom of Wagner's Ring of the Nibelung". It's about a famous German opera and it is very philosophical, displaying how some people sacrifice love for power and how greed ruins people's life and - in the end - the world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa - it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.
I worked at a shelter for homeless families for about one year and I learnt so much about people. It's pretty though there most of the time but the experience I gained is priceless.
Currently I'm travelling by myself through Australia for a couple of months. It's amazing how many interesting people I met so far and how much you learn about yourself when you spend so much time alone, just walking through forests in silence and mediating about life. I love it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not really an expert at something. I study economics and I bet most people won't be that interested in this topic... But I love to share stories from my holidays. Guess most people on this site love travelling and might think about visiting a country I've been to. If so I'd be more than happy to tell you about my experience, about what I liked and what not and share some pictures. And if you have some questions about something I wrote then just let me know and we'll chat about it. :-)
