About Me

ABOUT ME

I am currently travelling through South/Central America for a year. I started in February 2012 in Argentina, with a general northern direction.

I am really keen to learn Spanish over this time as I love the language.

As I have the privilege of time, I am not rushing through my trip, which is lovely. It is giving me time to absorb all the new things I am seeing. As an Argentine friend told me I am "increasing my pool of reference".

I love making art and drawing. I am pretty content to sit and draw the day away in my sketch book.

I feel I am a down-to-earth person and relaxed. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories. I enjoy having a laugh and sharing this unique human experience.

As a social worker/anthropologist, I am interested in the culture and political organisation of the countries that I visit. I enjoy talking about the similarities and differences to Australia.

I have a critical eye and always enjoy having my ideas or assumptions challenged as I travel. I think this is marvellous.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I share the philosophy of Couchsurfing for the sense of community, sharing and exchange.
I love travelling and the experience of travelling is heightened when we create and develop connections and relationships between people, places and the environment. I think for me, Couchsurfing is part of making this happen.

I am generally a fun, easy going person. I am flexible in that the atmosphere of the Couch will determine my own mood. I can be relaxed and chilled out, and also I can be ready to have a laugh and dance. I have to say that I am not a party-stay-out-all-night kind of girl, with the exception of special occasions or particularly thrilling live music.

I respect other people´s ways of living and eccentricities. With that said I will not tolerate racism or homophobia, if you are either of these, we won´t get along well.
