About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Loving living

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm a 24 years old medical student, currently doing my internship on pediatrics (and loving it!).
I was born in Concepcion, 600km away from Santiago, Chile, but I moved to the capital of this long, skinny country 6 years ago when I started going to university.
Besides my studies I really enjoy travelling, going out with friends, and DANCING!
I play volleyball in two different teams, like to go swimming once in a while..and, did I already say that I love dancing? hahaha :)
When I've had the opportunity to travel I've really enjoyed meeting new people on the way (and with some of them I've kept contact for many years), also I love to discover new places, and not only the most turistic ones but I think it's even more interesting to discover the way that locals live (the places they ussually go to, where they eat, party, etc.)
I love walking around, hate the subway.
Love food, hate cleaning up the mess after I cook.

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is all about simple things that make you smile

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first started using couchsurfing in 2011 when I took a year off to travel and study in Europe. It was an incredible experience and now that Im back in Santiago and finally bought a comfortable couch I would like to help other people have a great experience while travelling (and why not, help them have a nice sleep and shower).
As I said before, Im in the middle of my internship at the hospital so a couple of days a week I have shifts and exams that won't allow me to host any couchsurfers. Anyway, I will always let you know on time if I'm available or not :)

I strongly believe that a project such as CS demonstrates the spirit of trying to make of this world a much better one by learning about different cultures and being tolerant with everyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet! But definitely looking forward to.

Interests

Im very open minded so willing to discover anything unknown for me. I love different cultures and found very interesting learning how other people live their lives.

Of course, as I'm a medical student, medicine is one of my favorite things in the world and obviously I love everything related to it

Also, I love food, all kinds!

  • dancing
  • dining
  • cooking
  • walking
  • partying
  • traveling
  • volleyball
  • swimming
  • medicine
  • toefl

Music, Movies, and Books

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to read as much as I would love to.

I love almost all kind of music. Can't live with out it.
Love singing, but for some reason people say that it's not very pleasant to hear me haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a woman giving birth.
I've travelled around on my own, where nobody knows me.
I've been in love

Teach, Learn, Share

Im willing to learn about new cultures and of course, tell you some of mine. Even teach some spanish or english you might need!
I'm looking forward to practice english also, as I'll be doing the TOEFL exam in a copuple of months.

Im convinced that there's always something awesome on the other person waiting to be discovered.
