I was born in the middle of the city, grew up in the country, and now I'm back in the city again! I live with my husband in an area of Melbourne called Docklands, which was once a gathering site for the members of the indigenous Kulin nations, then was the place where ship owners, seafarers and wharfies converged to bring goods into the city, and now it being done up all nice and pretty for people to live.

The city is my home and my community. I work at an organisation called Urban Seed, which aims to grow community alongside people who are homeless and marginalised. I am a writer and a connector, and so I use those skills as much as I can in the community development work I'm a part of.

I grew up with 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I'm in the middle.

I'm travelling to LA soon and I thought this was a great way to get to know the city more deeply, compared with staying in a hotel. I'm hoping to connect with travellers in my own city upon my return.
