About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world and learn everything

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Andrea, 28, and working as Computer Technician.
Traveling is one of my biggest passions. Whether it's about riding a motorcycle for thousands of kilometers, or trekking/hiking and sleeping in middle of wild nature, I enjoy them equally. Starting from the year 2014 I have traveled a lot through Europe and my home country Italy, it has been a great chance to get to know myself more and to understand the world better.

In my free time, I like learning foreign languages, reading all sorts of books, watching movies and tv series, playing football and doing crossfit or jogging. I also love animals. I have a Border Collie, named Zena, who is about 8 years old.

I have a hearing impairment, so sometimes I can have some problems in communicating with foreigners, but as long as people are patient and speak clearly (without eating their own words), then I can understand them quite well. I have traveled alone in many countries and the language barrier has never stopped me in making new incredible friends.
I'm very passionate when it comes to topics I enjoy talking about, such as cultures, languages, sports, politics and history.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy every beautiful thing that life can give to you. Don't let the fears to stop you and never give up, because "Beauty will save the world".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can't wait to have my first couchsurfing experience! I am now living with my parents and brother so I cannot host, but I'm available for meet up other travelers and can show you around in Rapallo and Genoa.

I had a few meetups with couchsurfer members in my travels or in Genoa (30 minutes from my hometown). Always a great experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds, from techno to classical, from dubstep to soft rock, from metal to hard rock. I don't like some pop bands and singers.

All kinds of books, but my preferences are Fantasy, Stephen Kings's books and Dostoevskij.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many of them, but the best one that comes to my mind now is the St. James Way of Santiago.
I walked across the whole northern Spain in 35 days totally by myself. It was an incredible experience that made me matured and feel different about life. Words can't describe it, I wish everyone could try it to understand those incredible emotions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a computer technician so I'd be happy to teach you how to fix computer problems. Jokes aside
I'd be happy to share culture, language knowledges and experiences.
I always feel an urge to learn something new in life, no matter if it's about how to clean the ground with a broom or how to take care of a nuclear fission (well..maybe in videogames)

I like to talk about everything with hosts if they like to learn with me about the world.
