ABOUT ME

I am an artist and musician who loves to visit cafes, read, explore museums, and meet people. Although I currently live with several house mates and can't accept guests right now, I would be happy to be a point of contact, possibly meet up, or at least recommend places to visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people and see new places from a new perspective. My goal is to open up and learn from others. I love art, nature, and stories.

Interests

Art, music, hiking, bookstores, local food, farmer's markets, natural settings, yoga, writing, outdoor activities, trying new things like rock climbing, dancing, and learning to program (all things I admire but am still a beginner).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books from my childhood like Harry Potter and Harriet the Spy. More recently, I love ' To Kill a Mocking Bird', 'Grendel', 'Kafka on the Shore'. As far as movies go, I enjoy classic films and some modern dramas that really shook me: 'No Country For Old Men', and 'The Departed'. I also like anything whimsical and feel-good as long as it has substance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone on a music tour around the United States and published a children's book. Both experiences were far from easy to make happen, yet extremely rewarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think these are the gifts we can give each other. Teach what you know, share your story, and listen. I teach traditional painting and drawing skills, and I've been singing professionally for most of my life. I am happy to teach and share anything I've learned in life so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my music, my stories, my art. I'm happy to do a mini art lesson or just have a good conversation. I'm not the fanciest of cooks, but I do love cooking and I love to help. I'm also inclined to get my hands dirty in the garden, so if you need an extra hand, let me know!
