About Me

I'm Andy, 31 years old from Munich, Germany with Italian/Croatian roots. It is always hard to describe oneself (could sound narcissistic or arrogant), but I am happy with who I am. I have good behaviour, I am helpful and empathic. And so far I guess I'm someone you can have fun with, too! I'm in love with nature and new cultures, but also with big cities and nightlife. I don't want to only do sightseeing, I also want to live the life of the locals!

I left my home some years ago for Dublin/Ireland. I met countless people from South America and fell in love with their culture, attitude and way of life. Afterwards I moved to France and Switzerland, but still did not become fully happy. I accepted a job as a paramedical courier for bone marrow transports. Due to this job I was constantly travelling, finally experiencing countries such as Chile, Mexico and Brazil. It was even more stunning then I imagined. That's when I decided to leave Europe to travel through Central- and South America. Eventually I ended up in Mexico where I'm living for 2 years now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's better to have social contacts instead of a cold hotel. I want to meet like-minded people and connect with the world. Also I want to live the local life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helping blood cancer patients by transporting the Bone Marrow/Blood Stem Cells for their transplantation. I saw many different continents/countries/cities and I was able to actually help people with my job.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer German and English (which I studied), as well as German/Bavarian culture. Also I'm someone who loves to share stories, experiences and can talk about philosophical topics. I like to learn languages, especially I try to improve my spanish. Furthermore I want to know the traditions of other cultures - and food!! We can cook together if you want.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am more than willing to help in any house chores or work. I can give you a hand with stuff you need to do. I'm open-minded, respectful and know how to behave. I don't want to be a tourist, I want to see how people actually live in their countries.
Long and meaningful conversations? I'm in!
