Overview
About Me
I'm a fun loving, open person who's always up for trying new things. I try to live a life as active as possible. Just sitting on the couch watching life pass by doesn't work for me. Except maybe, with a good beer or gin-tonic and nice company ;-)
I'm really into sports, especially outdoors. I love rock climbing and bouldern - so bring your climbing gear, there are some awesome spots around Gothenburg :-)
Apart from climbing, I enjoy hiking, moutaineering, skiing and basically anything outdoors.
And for completeness, the key facts of my life so far ;-)
I'm 26, grew up in Austria, lived almost 3 years in Australia, 9 months in the USA, and recently moved to Gothenburg in Sweden to do my PhD in electrical engineering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I love to meet people, get in touch with locals, try new things, show travelers my town - but I guess that's the reason for most around here.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hard to say which kind of music I prefer. I guess it depends on the situation and my mood. I'm open to pretty much anything. And if it's live music, it's even better ;-)
My all time favourite movie is Django Unchained, with Quentin Tarantino being my favorite director. Other movies include Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, V for Vendetta, the Matrix Triology, Game of Thrones, Der Knochenmann, Silentium, and lots of others.
Hardly any favourite books, but favourite authors. Tim Winton, Ken Follet, Christoph Ransmayr, Wolf Haas, J.R.R. Tolkien
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching sun set and sun rise at Lake Rhona (Tasmania, Australia). It was simply amazing. Being at a beautiful lake in the middle of a huge national park without any other people within walking distance and watching the sun slowly rising above the horizon!
