Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Andy. I've been married to my husband Justin (from the U.S.) for 18 years and we own a small new house on the countryside in Lower Franconia in Germany.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I'm travelling, I prefer personally meeting people from the other country rather than staying at an anonymous hotel which is basically identical everywhere in the world!
Interests
I'm an activist for sustainability, repairability & open software.
Also very interested in music, I play keyboards in a band, my husband sings.
We both like nature, hiking, plants & gardening, pets & animals - we have two really sweet cats that my parents take care of during our travels.
Justin has a nice camera and likes to take pictures of landscapes, cities, animals etc.
Cooking and eating definitely!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite genre is not having a favourite genre, I prefer diversity!
We love going to concerts and are members of the local art house cinema.
My favourite authors are probably Stanislav Lem, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Tony Hillerman and Frank Schätzing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My greatest accomplishment was finding the love of my life! And I built a house mostly by myself. I became an activist for repair cafés with a monthly TV appearance and I do talks at hacker congresses.
Teach, Learn, Share
Music, languages, cuisine, local culture... please let me know how you're doing it! I can teach human and programming languages :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm probably funny & entertaining to a certain degree :)
and i'm good at fixing stuff (I'm member of the local repair café).
