About Me

After I submitted my thesis in Materials Science in 2017, I needed a rest from lab work, writing, failing experiments ... so that I took several months off for a cycling tour east north-east = )
And that was an awesome tour with great (couchsurfing) people along the road. I had a great time!

Now, being back to work my Couchsurfing time is unfortunately limited.

Still, I enjoy exploring the world, getting to know people, having conversations with serious and unserious contents, going out in bars and clubs ...

Most times, I have my camera with me. You can find some of my pictures on

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are stops on my journey such as Berlin or Leipzig, where I know a few people who kindly accomodate me and show me the nice parts of their city during my stay.

Since I travel by bicycle, it is not possible for me to arrive every day at a place where I know someone. I would be happy to meet new people on couch surfing who can help me find the cool places in their area, who ideally can provide shelter from the maybe sometimes not so nice weather and who enjoy meeting new people, as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Photos and stories over wine and/or beer ...

During my "injury pause" I learned to cook by trying out a bunch of recipes from "The Easiest Cookbook in the World". We can try out a few more, if you like. They are most of the times really good! = )

And I am very good at tidying the dishes after a meal. ^^
