Overview
About Me
After 36 years of working in the financial industry, I will not work for at least 2 years and will travel to corners of the world I have not been before. I am currently visiting Australia, and next Japan and Vietnam. I would then like to look at other countries from December 2023.
So I'm 53 years old, I'm from western Germany (Düsseldorf), single and I'm excited to see what will happen in the next few months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel. But traveling should be more than visiting buildings and nature. That too, but how much more important is it to get in touch with the respective residents in order to understand how a city and a country works. And of course also which person takes me in. But of course you can also end the day with a beer, wine or water and have fun. I hope I can do that more with couchsurfing than without. I look forward to finding out.

Music, Movies, and Books
Rock music (but more ballads) instead of opera. Historical novels and biographies, but mostly it depends on the author. Science fiction or documentaries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Building schools in Guatemala and taking part in an indigenous court hearing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A (hopefully) sociable guest who is happy to help and is interested in information and activities away from most tourists.
