Overview
About Me
I really like to smile, so I grasp every chance to do so or as they sing in 'La vita e bella': Smile, without a reason why!
I think I'm very patient and open-minded, I'd like to taste a bit of everything before I die and completely agree with Bertrand Russel when he says:
"Adventurous men enjoy shipwrecks, earthquakes, mutinies, conflagrations and all kinds of unpleasant experiences. They say to themselves, for example, ‘so this is what an earthquake is like,’ and it gives them pleasure to have their knowledge of the world increased by this new item"
As you have seen already I like quotes so I'll end with one from Lao Tzu that's special to me:
"A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It seems like a chill way to visit a new place.
You've immediately got a friendly face to talk with who can help you to make the most of your visit.
Interests
I love Kung fu, reading and playing music.
Hiking a big fat mountain range is makes me happy every time. Climbing the steep slopes and then sleeping with the best views.
On the other side I also love to be super lazy; do nothing and see where the day takes you
I'm also a big science and philosophy fan. I like to think about all kinds of problems and see where your mind takes you when you give it some time.

Music, Movies, and Books
When people are discussing music and bands most of the time I have no clue what they are talking about. However I do enjoy soundtracks (Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat, Joe Hisaishi, ...) and I also appreciate classical music. Simon and Garfunkel are amazing!
When I was younger I read fantasy and Sci-Fi books by the dozens ... and now I still do.
My favourite books: Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and The Kingkiller Chronicles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've volunteered in a little mountain village in the Indian Himalaya's.
I lived there with the locals and was able to help them in daily activities as herding the goats and helping the stonemason.
We played a lot and made music together, I also taught them some English
