About Me

I'm a graphic and web designer, medieval re-enactor, gamer. I can seem a bit reserved a first, because I usually try to get a better understanding of most situations before really getting involved. Once I'm over that I can be very enthousiastic about things that interest me.

I'm looking to expand my horizons and experience other cultures, societies, customs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From a practical point, to cut travel costs, but most importantly to experience a more personal and authentic stay in the country I'm in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Glitch Mob, Tool, M.O.O.N, Iron Maiden, No Mana, The Eagles of Death Metal, Black Sabbath. I can listen to almost anything though.

Movies: The Fifth Element, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and Star Wars. Fantasia (the old one). Guardians of the Galaxy, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight.

I guess I'm obviously a big geek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Breached a castle gate as the besieger and knocked away an arrow that was coming towards me. True story.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always interested in local culture, crafts and customs, and would love to learn Japanese at some point. I like seeing what everyday life in different countries is like.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Western culture and history. Tales from adventures had during medieval re-enactment.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey
