Both of us now are unbound by a job or family and so we decided to take this chance to travel and to learn from other countries and the people there. From April to October we are traveling through South America and are looking for people to host us.

Interests

The sport in my youth up until in university has been Judo for around 12 years, but I stopped doing it because of the injuries I got. Since then my regular sport for at least one time a week is swimming. In general I like water and water related sports. During my time at university I was able to get some cheap lessons about diving and sailing, which I want to continue doing in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am really bad with names in general and even worse with titles of movies and music. Usually you hear me saying "No I do not know that movie / music" but if you show it to me I actually might have it seen it ^^. No matter if music or movies I am open to new experiences as long it is not solely the standard mainstream. Especially while visiting I enjoy the countries artists and movies. If you know of some good stuff, I would love you to show it to me.
The last books I enjoyed listening to are written by Stephen R. Covey "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" and "The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness", which I would not live by 100% but they give quite some interesing stuff to think about. In the past I read Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my international internship at FEMA in Assis (São Paulo, Brazil) I lived 6 weeks together with my guest family, which was a wonderful experience and I absolutely would do it again. Afterwards I was able to travel 6 more weeks in the north east. My 3 month stay in Brazil allowed me to meet so many wonderful people of several countries and especially many of Brazil that just have been amazingly friendly and helpful.
Another nice experience was going by bike with some friends from the Brenner Pass to Lake Garda and then along the river Po to the coast and Venice. People have been very helpful all the time despite not speaking any Italian.
Voluntary work at the fire department in my small home town, which is a tradition in the rural areas of Bavaria in Germany.

Durante mi internado internacional en FEMA en Assis (São Paulo, Brasil), viví 6 semanas junto con mi familia invitada, lo cual fue una experiencia maravillosa y lo volvería a hacer. Después pude viajar 6 semanas más en el noreste. Mi estadía de 3 meses en Brasil me permitió conocer a tanta gente maravillosa de varios países y especialmente a muchos de Brasil que han sido increíblemente amables y serviciales.
