About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world and, more importantly, the people in it.
ABOUT ME
Once a month I go on a weekend trip to some city in or near europe to meet new people. I also travel quite a bit through work, so I've had enough of hotels to last me a lifetime. Couchsurfing bridges the gap nicely so I figured I'd give it a try. After all, it's the people that are interesting.
PHILOSOPHY
If it ain't broke, find out how it works.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to host mostly on weekends as I like taking care of my guests. If you're fine with spending time on your own while I'm at work, you can request my couch for weekdays too though. I'll show you whatever seasonal activities Gothenburg has to offer, and I promise you'll have a good time
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted both lone travellers and groups, and I've had so much fun I wish I'd started hosting a lot sooner.
Not only do I get to join in on someone elses adventure and vacation for a while, I've also rediscovered my own home town and found it pretty amazing.
Some bring gifts, others bring stories or ideas, and everyone seems to bring a smile :-)
Interests
Too many! Mostly everything that involves going really fast, but a quiet night of playstation or discussing everything and nothing with random people works just as well.
- chocolate
- partying
- traveling
- skydiving
Music, Movies, and Books
I devour everything when it comes to movies and music. I tend to return to slow jazz or lounge music more frequently than others though. When it comes to books I mostly read fantasy; If it doesn't have a big flaming sword and at least a couple of wizards or dragons, I probably won't read it more than once. Terry Pratchett is my favourite author.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got my skydiving license when I was 20. Best decision I've ever made.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you swedish folk songs of the family-party variety and the secret of "swedish sticky chocolate cake".
I soak up random skills and knowledge like a sponge soaks up water. Especially if the knowledge is mostly useless but fun (like how to play the five versions of the french kids-game Dobble).
