I like lodging in hostals too, but I don't like feeling like the average tourist, so I'd rather avoid them during vacations.

Also, you can discover a city the best way while having some local guide you through the best bars :D (though this is not a necessary requirement).

Well, I can actually find interest for almost everything.
I like to read (fantasy literature and mangas), I do sports, especially running and swimming and I like playing games.

While travelling, I like to learn about history, but I also enjoy fine arts and of course beaches :D

I think Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Carribean ist just hillarious, but I fancy all kind of food for thought film, especially the funny ones, like Dogma or Life of Brian.
As to say for the books, I really like Terry Pratchet's Discworld series.
