About Me
Well first of all I'm a dog person, born and raised in Denmark, while I study I try to get as much traveling done as possible, being from a small Danish town I always knew there was more to life. I never really had a chance to see this for myself as I never traveled by myself before fall 2012. But once I started I got bit by the travel bug instantly.
My goals of traveling get to know new people and learn from them, from how they perceive the world. Use this knowledge to be more open-minded in general
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's better to write this as a summary of what introduced me to Couchsurfing:
My couchsurfing experience began in 2013/2014 in the United States when I was studying abroad in San Diego, my friends, Henrik and Jonas, two Swedes who also were studying at UCSD and had bought a car asked me if I wanted to join them on a road trip. I said yes and we embarked on a 3 week adventure together, here we were quickly introduced to couchsurfing on day 2 by Katie, Natalie and Mike. Long story short, couch surfing became our number 1 go to accommodation during our trip, the people we met and experiences we had thanks to CS were nothing short of amazing!
Apart from that adventure my reasons for sticking with couchsurfing primarily boil down to:
* Getting to know people, locals, hearing their stories etc.
* Travelling on the cheap (still a student)
* Training myself to be open-minded, I have only met nice people on couchsurfing, but I come from a small town and never thought I would travel as much as I ended up doing, therefore I guess couchsurfing is still helping me preconceptions about cultures (don't worry though, I'm nice and open-minded)
While I still haven't hosted anyone from couchsurfing, I have on multiple occasions inflated mattresses for travelers while I was living in Denmark and the Netherlands, primarily young students traveling on the cheap like myself. I definitely want to give back to the community when I get my own apartment at some point.

I also really enjoy cooking so if my host wants me to I'm up for cooking a meal.
