ABOUT ME

From an early age, I have travelled the World. As a child, I spent three years in Seattle and have since then also lived in Australia and Paris. I enjoy travelling, and I have travelled in countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, Russia, the US, China, the Caribbean, Israel/Palestine, Rwanda, New Zealand, and more or less all over Europe. In my spare time, I am an active runner, hiker, and skiier, and I love challenging my limits by bungy-jumping, sky diving, water sports, and in 2012 I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Since February 2014, I have been a PhD student within development of modern snake antivenoms at the University of Copenhagen. I also hold an M.Sc.Eng in Advanced and Applied Chemistry from The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris.

Prior to my PhD-studies, I was part of founding Biosyntia ApS – a biotech company within synthetic biology and metabolic engineering. In early 2014, I founded my second biotech company, VenomAb IVS, together with 3 co-founders, with the aim of developing better snakebite antivenoms. In early 2012, I also founded the network for young bio-entrepreneurs REBBLS (Rising Entrepreneurs in BioBusiness and Life Science) together with 7 co-founders, where I used to be the Vice President.
