About Me

I am from Germany and currently traveling around the world.
I am an unstressed person and prefer to travel slowly ... I love to just go into one direction and find out, where the path leads ... Some years ago I have been living in London for half a year and explored the city mostly by wandering around with a good friend of mine (✝), avoiding the metro when possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and want to see new places more from the locals point of view and not just as an observing tourist ... I am always fascinated chatting about peoples lives and about how they see the world, the past, the future and everything.

"The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see." - Gilbert K. Chesterton

Interests

Most important for me is meeting my friends and making new ones. I like to learn about the world and enjoy watching and talking about films. I love listening to music, especially visiting concerts, yes and sometimes I am just wondering what everything is about ...
Right now I am really looking forward to dive the Red Sea.

Music, Movies, and Books

Royksopp, The Knife, London Grammar, Leonard Cohen, ...

My top Four movies list:

Drive
In Bruges
Collateral
Christine
Westworld ... finally they created a series :-)

and one more: 99 francs – really great!!

why I like these films - well, that's a nice topic to chat about ...

Books ... well ... "Die Kuh, die weinte" is not bad and "The four hour workweek" is a good one as well, if you don't take the title serious, but really think about the advice given. Another one is Video Night in Kathmandu by Pico Iyer and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a kid, I ran after a watering can, which was teared away from me by the stream of a river. After that my rubber boots were flooded, but I saved the can :-D ... oh dear ... thats all I have to say after 31 years? Well ... swimming naked in the Golf of Thailand was awesome as well!!

Teach, Learn, Share
