About Me

I just closed my bakery after 5 years of hard work and very little play. I'm currently living a somewhat vagabond lifestyle and wanting to visit and help people. I've been so focused on my business and want to look outward and slow down and enjoy new people and simple things. If you want help with anything, I'd love to lend a hand where I can. I can cook and bake, clean, dance, chat, work on your website, fix things, provide manual labor (I like it!), brainstorm (one of my superpowers), plan, and am a great adventure partner. I have a ton of skills in different areas that may be helpful and I want to share. I'm single and just looking for friends.

ABOUT ME

I am curious about a lot of things, know a few things, love food and especially weird art. I've lived a bunch and have been to 27 countries, although not much vacation or travelling in the last 8 years. I have a 13 year old daughter in Albany, NY. I'm newly obsessed with competitive table tennis, and surprisingly have found a lot of great new friends that way. I've been to Burning Man 7 times, but you would never know it as I present as normal. :) I'm easy going and I am super respectful of a host's property and rules.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation, including moderation.

PERSONAL REFERENCE
I stayed with someone for the first time - not on this site (was a long distance, virtual friend) , and she said:
"Serial entrepreneur taking a break to explore new places and meet great people. He's a clean and easy going guest who loves connecting with others. Curious, free-spirited, and always up for an adventure. He's also an amazing baker, respectful, and always keeps thing tidy."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet new people and see how and where they live. I want to be helpful. I love to explore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: EDM to classical, minus most country and jazz, but even those have their place and I can appreciate them!

Books: I enjoy a variety of audio books while driving: Sci Fi, fiction, and business related books.

Movies: I do like a good movie, regardless of genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sete cidades, Azores - one spot in particular. Oh man. Also, Santorini...and Paris for art...and Burning Man for art and so much more....and that heirloom garden fresh salsa I made the other night. Life is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new skills, and am willing to share my knowledge if you are interested.
