About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To grow up. Because I still don't feel and behave like an adult

ABOUT ME

Hello everybody, my name is Andre (m, 25) and I'm from the northern part of Germany. I live and study in the small but nice and charming city Oldenburg.
It's kind of difficult to describe myself but I'm gonna try it: I would say that I am a quite uncomplicated and relaxed person. I usually get along with almost every kind of person and I always try to be friendly, nice, respectful and tolerant to other people.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry too much. It's wasted energy. Most of the little problems in life are not worth thinking about and turn into a happy ending by itself anyway.
That's at least my personal experience!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately not so many right now. I've just signed up here and have started to write some couch requests while I am traveling in North America.
But I've heard a lot of good stories from other couchsurfer and it turned out pretty well so far. Hope to make some more experiences in the near future. It's a great concept

Interests

I'm not the biggest party animal but it really depends on my current mood. I have periods when I'm really active and want to go out for partying, drinking and dancing but I definitely need some days off after this to recover. Especially when I am traveling I don't go too often in clubs because the next day is often completely wasted. When I am not going out for party I am normally up for more relaxing activities like cooking (although I am not the best one) playing board games, maybe just for a few drinks or just watching movies.
I like being outside in the nature. Especially for hiking or biking! I don't watch or follow any sports, I prefer to do the sport itself. What I really enjoy is playing Squash. I am always looking for people who like this sport as much as I do. I am not a professional, I play more just for fun but in my opinion it is one of the best sports in the world! I would say that I generally like to do any kind of sports where you need a racket.
Oh yeah, music is very very important for me! I was used to play the guitar when I was younger and I would like to start again but the time is kind of an issue at the moment. The music I am listening to mostly is classic rock, alternative rock, singer-songwriter, acoustic guitar music, reggae, a lot of soul, blues, swing jazz from time to time. Indie rock, brit-pop and some easy listening music in general. Because I enjoy so much music of course I go to as many concerts as I can and to music festivals in the summer when my pockets are not too empty.
I guess you have to meet me personally if you want to know more about me. Hope to see you soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really really love listening to music. I can't live without it.
Mostly I am listening to any kind of self-made music. Like acoustic guitar music, singer-songwriter stuff, a lot of classic rock and alternative rock. A little bit of Indierock, britpop, reggae, easy.listening in general. And for some reason I like dancing to soul and swing music. Blues and Jazz is also on the top of my list.
But I don't listen to gangster rap or hardcore metal. No techno and almost no electronic music. (there are a few exceptions though)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well...couchsurfing!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make up a good Tiramisu which is my favorite desert by far!
And if you have any special skills in whatever, I'm open for almost everything new. Like some kind of sports I haven't tried yet, new recipes, or any kind of cool handmade craft.
