About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world. I want to gain a deeper understanding of other places, domestic and abroad, while increasing my appreciation for home.

ABOUT ME

I'm a doc student who loves to travel, domestically and internationally. I grew up in Maryland, but now live in my sixth state: Oklahoma. *Studying abroad in Norway this school year.* I also play saxophone and love to bake. I have a penchant for geography and love attending theatre and improv comedy.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has a story to share and I would love to hear yours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to live in a world where we can trust one another; where the idea of a global community is acted upon. I am on couchsurfing to hasten the realization of this world.

Sadly, my current living arrangement does not allow me to have couchsurfing (it's specifically in my lease). However, I am always down to reciprocate hosting a friend.

Interests

the Eurovision Song Contest, travel, languages (though I am bad at them), geography, music, movies, and baking. I play saxophone, sing, and do improv. I also like theatre, comedy (improv and standup), and milkshakes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Well, the Eurovision. In addition to that, I like a lot of pop, indie, and rock.

Movies: Pretty much any comic book movie (I can't wait for all the movies coming out this year!). I also particularly enjoy suspense films like Disturbia, Identity, and Gone Girl.

Books: Teen fiction is my guilty pleasure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Domestic Travel: The Grand Canyon, hands down.
International: Mayan Ruins in Belize

Teach, Learn, Share

I was an academic advisor, so I specialize in coaching folks in the reflection process. I am also a quite knowledgeable about various topics related to psychology. I am quite passionate about Eurovision and love to share my knowledge of it with others.

I would love to learn and strengthen my language abilities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am able to hold my own on a multitude of topics and love to engage in discussion on just about anything.

Additionally, I love cooking and baking, especially when I get to do so for others.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Panama, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
