Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can met and have a good time in the hungarian pubs in Cluj Napoca.
If we have time we could even travell together in the country.
We can have some tea together.
We have a romm where you can sleep.
We enjoy spending time with interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some close friends had good experiences with CS.We were happy with the guests we had. They were nice interesting people and CS seemed a great ideea to make travel more affordable and meet people.
We had the chance to meet some people who remained close to us and it is constantly an exercise to accept differencies, to learn from other's experiences.
After a few years of CS we have learned to be a bit more carefull with people we host, some of them are young and looking for fun in a way we do not like. We made clear rules about hosting people who consume too much alcohol or drugs.
We also look for people around 30, to share more interest and to make valuable relationships, more than hosting.
I observed a trend in CS, the invitation you send to people must be "special", like you are in a job interview and need to impress people and convince them you deserve to be hosted. I find this negative, as most people have a profile that can give you some information about them and you can choose according to that. We had CS surfers almost every week in summer, we always replied according to us being home or having a free room, never according to the "letter of intention" they wrote.
For us CS remains a great chance to meet people and accept and enjoy diversity.
