About Me
Recent update: traveling quite a lot, splitting my time between Bucharest, Romania and Wuerzburg, Germany. I'm also often in Trier, Germany, Luxembourg, Varese, Italy and Vienna. Hit me up if you want to meet. Can't host in this period, though.
All the best!
Hello,
All the answers below should pretty much fill this section, but as a short introduction, I moved to Bucharest in 2009 to study and have been living here ever since. I travel a lot, especially around Romania but to other countries as well.
Just be respectful, kind and we'll surely get along!
My work hours vary, depending on the project I am on. Therefore my attention can vary from having a lot of free time to show you around to barely having any free time at all. If you are relying on me to see the city or have fun, please ask in advance to see how my schedule is at the time. Still, no matter the case, you are more than welcome and I will gladly share what I have with you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm interested in meeting as many nice people as possible to hear their stories and learn about their cultures! Most of the best experiences I had in life were with random people whom I've just met, while traveling usually. Their kindness has inspired me and I wish to give that back to the world, so I will gladly share the free room I have!
Interests
Outdoor sports (biking, kayaking, mountain climbing, windsurfing, diving, spearfishing etc), reading, psychology, calisthenics, self-improvement, robotics, computer science, technology, concerts, bars, interesting conversations etc. Almost anything can be interesting, given the right approach.

Music, Movies, and Books
I never saw the point in these types of questions, simply because there is no favorite book, movie, or music genre (OK, I think I do like jazz the most, though). It's a huge list in any category.
I'd gladly share this over a conversation, but it's hard to list it here.
I'm reading Dostoievsky at the moment, for example, and the last book I loved was by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. (oh, and many, many more!).
Movies, I loved "The salt of the earth" documentary recently, but as artistic movies, it's very hard to pick one. Maybe The Truman Show, Apocalypse now, Beginners, but these are of the top of my head, if you ask me the same question in another day, the answer would surely vary.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kayaked along the Danube, into the Danube delta and spent a week camping in the most beautiful and remote place I have ever seen, with wild boars, bulls and coyotes.
Discovering the Danube Delta through kayaking has become an yearly trip since then.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will gladly share any knowledge I have with you!
Out of the top if my head:
- teach you a bit of Romanian
- can help you improve your English
- show you around, of course
- teach you about the local habits and pet peeves. The do's and don'ts etc
- how to have fun with a hammock
- can teach you a bit of robotics, programming and about technology overall (Don't really expect this from most travelers but hey, who knows, if you're interested, sure! )
- how to ride a bike (around Bucharest at night, especially!)
- lots of other random stuff
What I Can Share with Hosts
All the basic stuff, a room (not intimate though, I have no doors in the sleeping rooms), bed, access to a computer etc (no use in listing it all).
More than that, I have 3 bikes and, weather permitting, I'd gladly take you around Bucharest to see it (biking in Bucharest, at night, when it's free of cars, is one of the coolest way to see the city!).
I can show you the University, the Planetarium and some other cool stuff.
