About Me

I'm always looking forward to learn things and to meet new people. I've been traveling in Europe and in the US so far and I'm always making good friends everywhere I go - people are a really great way of expanding my views and knowledge. Although I'm not a skilled cook - learning, you know, I can probably try doing some Romanian dishes :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to meet different people in different places I travel to. I think I have something to offer (my own perceptions about the world and interests that are quite diverse and open) and a lot to gain from people I meet.

Interests

I like playing chess, climbing, playing a flute (recorder), learning a new language, traveling, learning cool things in science (programming, math, physics), reading interesting books (e.g. Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman is a recent one I really enjoy), doing sports (biking, running, swimming) and having a good time with friends.
I also linger to become a better engineer, learning things better, like security, kernel programming, machine learning, algorithms and how to design code better are always fun to play with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most recent awesome book: Surely You're Joking Mr Feynman
Music: 80s, 90s soft rock music is my favorite

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've won local chess competitions at ages 12-15.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play a recorder, some words in languages I know, how to play chess, how to boulder/climb and share some Romanian dishes (not an experience cook but I like to learn).

I like learning anything from practical to ideas from anyone; we're all unique and interesting in a way :).
