About Me

=== Enjoying beauty in everything and making the world a more beautiful place ===

I HAVE A DOG :D. He's friendly and likes but beware if you have allergies :)
Please be aware that there are some house rules at the bottom of my home.

Short version: I like traveling (both outward and inward), meeting people, exploring cultures, seeing the wonders our life has to offer, you know: enjoying all the little things in life :). I'm curious and I like curious people. You can ask about everything and i have a story for everything.

Long version:
I enjoy talking to people and listening to their stories. I think everyone has at least a few interesting stories to tell and you can learn something from anyone. A culture is defined by its people so what better way to understand the world than meeting its people. My collection of stories is quite long :)

I'm also very spontaneous as my work involves too much structure so i need to offset that. If i host you, we might end up attending a party with people i don't know in some neighboring city, maybe have very deep conversations over a cup of wine, we might go pubcrawling or travel to the other side of Denmark or whatever other idea i might get during your stay. Of course, I'll let you know in advance if that's the case :).

I also like games but that kinda got down-prioritized that past few years :). Even though i don't play that many games nowadays i still like to consider myself a gamer and i usually game to spend time with my friends.

I like nature, mushroom hunting, foraging for berries and just enjoying a night out under a clear sky (which is pretty hard to achieve in Denmark because of all the clouds).

I'm also good with numbers and fixing about everything ... if that matters :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been traveling a lot in all sorts of formats, i had couch surfers even before using this portal and i think it's the best way to enjoy the world because you get to experience the true spirit of the place you're visiting and get samples of places you should be visiting even before you go there. What's not to like?! :)

Culture is defined by people and not just landmarks. When you hang out with the locals, you have a place to sleep and a guide you can ask about things you're interested in. And most importantly: you meet real people, see the world through their eyes and you get to learn new things.

When couchsurfing you get to experience the REAL local culture (not the stuff you read about it brochures), you get to know where all the good, non-touristy places are, and you can hear about the real life of the people living there. You get to touch the soul of that place.

I don't travel with a check-list, i want to feel the vibe of the city I'm visiting. I guess that makes me a slow traveler. I take my time to digest the places I'm visiting and I usually go where interesting events lead me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, I'm gonna give you the lame answer : a bit of everything, trying to find inspiration in all genres. I a bigger fan of things that actually tell a story though.

Movies:
- Lord of the rings
- Cyberpunk Edgerunners
- Trigun
- The good place
- Babylon 5
- What dreams may come
- Shawshank redemption
- The adjustment bureau
- In time

Books:
- Man's search for meaning
- Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging
- Fooled by randomness
- Against empathy
- Les Misérables
- Some books in Romanian or Danish most of you will never read...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hm... feel free to ask me more about this, i guess..
...the thing I'm most proud of, though: I've managed to transport and deploy a solution for cleaning water in places where the water quality was horrible. And here's something worth sharing : the price of clean water is thus about 1cent / liter...or even less, if we go big. So technically the problem of clean water is one that is easy to be solved, if there was enough motivation...

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about the world so i would like to hear your stories. People seem interested in mine so I'll gladly share :)

I can teach about building stuff : toys, light bulbs, simple electronics, water heating systems, soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, cleaning solutions, moisturizers, communities, work culture etc

I enjoy life in the wild so i can teach and would like to learn more about berries, mushrooms and other things that can be found in forests.

I can cook a lot of good stuff from bread to complex meals. I would gladly share/exchange cooking knowledge.
I can teach programming and a lot about computers from system engineering to game design. I suck at art though :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever i can be of help with. I'm a swiss knife after all :)

My neverending bag of stories and good mood is at your disposal.

... if you want to know more about the darker side of the world, we can go there too :)

I'm pretty good in the kitchen, with animals and usually a good presence to have around. Will most likely try to leave things AT LEAST as good as i found them.
