Kinda friendly open minded person. I like to travel whenever i can get a vacation (which is rare), and travel preferrably somewhere far beyond.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a whole different way of living your life. Most people don't even suspect it may be possible.
Its great to find out that there exists a whole universe, a whole world with friendly people, existing paraller to the world we know from the news sites/tv and such :)

Music, Movies, and Books

"The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R.Tolkien was what strongly affected me when i was a kid. A book that created a genre, and none of the followers got even close.

Another thing, "Eden" and "The Invincible" by Stanislaw Lem. How he describes the contact with another civilization is far above anything else I've read.

Its unbelievable how few people can have such imagination, so that their writing makes something that borders upon the unknown to feel absolutely real.

James Joyce is also one of my favorite authors. One of those books which make you a different person once you've read it.

If I were to create such a masterpiece myself, I would have considered that I've found the meaning of life :)

As to the music, I listened mostly good old Doom and Power Metal allthrough my life, with my favorite band being Blind Guardian. Before that i listened Pink Floyd a lot, maybe even too much :) For quite some time haven't listened much, as so far nothing gives me THOSE thrills as back then. Still bring some sweet memories :)

Now mostly enjoying live Jazz/Funk/Bluez jam sessions in jazz bars, which are always full of surprises, guest musicians and such :)

From the movies i love Fight Club, Forrest Gump, Bladerunner, Aliens, Interview with the Vampire, Terminator II, L'auberge espagnole and so on, the list is quite long :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Journey to Peru, meeting wonderful people there, driving through the absolutely mindblowing landscape from Lima to Cusco was absolutely the best so far.
I also enjoyed Thailand very much, especially the islands (Phi-Phi, Similan, everything around Phuket actually).
