About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have as many new experiences as possible.

ABOUT ME

I am currently a University student and my life is pretty much revolving around our responsibilities and advantages: having fun, studying, experiencing life :D.
I am a spontaneous person and I am trying to get as much out my life as possible.
I am studying Computer Science, but I'm not your usual computer geek. I like programming, learning about Computer Science, playing computer games, but I also love and dedicate a lot of time to partying, kicking it back with friends and a few (or lots of) drinks, travelling, wandering around and discovering new places.

PHILOSOPHY

-"If you want the rainbow, you have to put up with the rain."
Dolly Parton

-When in doubt, do it

-"Even if you're on the right track, you might get run over if you just sit there"
Will Rogers

I am very interested in humor (stand-up comedy, TV shows...). I like smart people and I appreciate sarcasm.
I like programming, I am into movies, travelling and meeting people, partying, jogging and as of lately I am trying to be more adventurous and have new experiences whenever possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like good dramas (new and old) and I'm a sucker for detective movies/TV shows (whodunnits). I enjoy a good comedy movie, but they are rare. That's why I mostly stick to comedy tv shows, which I love.
I haven't read much literature lately. My favorite books used to be The Count of Monte Cristo by A. Dumas and Harry Potter (yes, I was a potterhead :D).
Possibly the best books that I have recently read are Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by D. Hofstadter (philosophy, computer science, maths, etc.) and Catcher in the Reye by Salinger.
I enjoy a lot of types of music, rock especially (though not heavy metal).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Both events that impressed me are related to sports.
I was a bit younger when Real Madrid played against my favorite Romanian soccer team at the time - Steaua Bucharest- and I was lucky enough to be on the stadium. I'll always remember the frenetic chanting, screaming and the thrills of seeing Real Madrid's stars playing soccer just 100 meters away from me (unfortunately my team took a bad beating).
Another amazing moment was witnessing my tiny ex-hometown's women handball team's success in 2009, when they - Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea- advanced to the Final of Champions League. We are all expecting to win it in 2013 ;) (I don't live there anymore, but I'm still fond of that team).
