About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to study Hebrew language, find a job and survive in Israel, meet new people

ABOUT ME

While studying sociology and anthropology I became interested in Japan, it's culture, history and language. So I studied Japanese for three years and then got an opportunity for an exchange semester at Chuo Uni. I was living in Japan for 8 months in total and then came back home to graduate, which I did. After that I was doing various office jobs (in two NGO's and a TV company) and also taught Japanese language to students. When my contract finished I grabbed the chance to come to Israel and try to make a life there. So here I am now already for 3 months, studying the language and exploring the new surroundings...

People who know me say that I'm very polite, kind, quiet and very stubborn!

PHILOSOPHY

In everything, no matter what it may be, uniformity is undesirable. Leaving something incomplete makes it interesting, and gives one the feeling that there is room for growth. Someone once told me, "Even when building the imperial palace, they always leave one place unfinished."

an excerpt from "Ëssays in Idleness" by Yoshida Kenkou (~1332.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like the idea, I like to help fellow travelers, meet new interesting people. I had a very good couchsurfing experience while travelling in Okinawa islands so I want to return the favor as soon as I get my own apartment here in Israel

Interests

I especially love traveling wherever, which comes along with meeting new people!
I'm spending long hours reading books and surfing on the net reading/exploring about politics, religion and countless other topics (too much things interest me)
I also like watching (non-Holywood) movies, listening to music, spending time with my friends having a laugh ...
I don't like cars, conformism, narrow mindedness and natou :)

As a rule, if I'm not travelling long distance, I'm riding a bicycle
