About Me

About me:

I'm a product of very humble beginnings in the Philippines, and the metropolitan chaos of New York City. Graduated from NYU with a BA degree in Economics, and have spent a good amount of time in the biz ops corporate and agency arenas.

I love new adventures, stumbling upon dichotomies, interesting spaces, and good natured humans. I crave natural scenery when things get overwhelming (this may or may not be Central Park), and write. I’ve been tracking my life for the last 10 years- journals' piling up!

I'm a Couchsurfing newbie. My travel approach: get out, walk, get lost (survive heart palpitations), eat, watch people, meet people, learn and enjoy!

My current mission:

As funny as it sounds, I re-discover myself in getting lost, being in a new environment, meeting genuine people in different walks of life and forging friendships with them. My travels continue to sprinkle new perspectives so that I may stay connected, grounded, and in love with all that this universe has to offer.

What's my current mission? Carpe diem!

Philosophy:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've only recently joined, and excited to be here.

In my travels, I hope to experience the place and culture from the inside! I don't think there's a better way of doing this other than staying with the locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Shantaram. Siddhartha. The Defining Decade.

Music: I'm fairly open, and can listen to anything. But I wake up and go to bed listening to jazz.

Movies... I'll have to think about this one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Swim in a crater lake, which is inside the world's smallest active volcano, which is located inside a lake, which is on one of Philippines' 7,107 islands.

- Stayed with a Taino tribal elder in Puerto Rico, and had a ritual celebration, giving thanks to mother Earth on the night of my 27th birthday.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In
