Actualmente soy estudiante de lenguas extranjeras en la U.PT.C. en Tunja, empecé a viajar como una manera de salir de la rutina, y termine enamorándome de las aventuras, de conocer personas nuevas, de hablar con gente de países que nunca creí llegaría a interactuar.

I am a foreingn languages student in the U.P.T.C. college in Colombia, actually I am an au pair in the Des Moines like an intercultural exchange in order to improve my English. I started to travel like a way to scape from the routine, and I finished falling in love of the adventures, to meet new people, to speak with people from different countries, that maybe I never supose to know, to eat new things, and also to know new cities and landscapes.

Como futuro licenciado en lenguas extranjeras, considero que la mejor manera de enseñar un idioma, es enseñando sobre la cultura de dicho idioma, por esto esta aplicación me pareció un puente entre lo que conozco de las lenguas y lo que puedo aprender sobre su cultura a través de la interacción con otras personas.

I will be a future teacher in foreign languages, I think that the better way for teach any language, is teaching about culture, traditions, differences, etc... that are common in the countries with this language, according with these, this application is very usefull for me, because I can know new people from differents coutries, and learn about all these things. (obviously I can teach about my own culture too :) ).

Music, Movies, and Books

todo tipo de música me gusta, al igual que la mayoría de géneros del cine, pero en especial me agradan las películas que dejan mensajes, o que hacen reflexionar sobre situaciones de la vida real.
Libros: el olvido que seremos, me mostró una perspectiva a mi parecer bonita de ver la familia y saber aprovecharla. pero mis favoritos son los libros de amor (se supone que es un secreto) en especial me gustan 100 años de doledad y el amor en los tiempos del colera)

I love any kind of music, because I love to dance. It`s the same thing with the movies, but I really enjoy to watch movies with reflections about issues or situations from the real life.
I love the love books (it supposed to be a secret) but anywhere, I really like the Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez specially two books (one hundred years of solititude and love in cholera times).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

viajar a dedo con 50.000 pesos Colombianos en el bolsillo y una carpa; hasta ver el desierto de la tatacoa y la vía láctea al anocher. Fue una ventura que me cambió como persona y me enseñó a valorar muchas cosas; sin contar que conocí paisajes hermosos...

Travel around my country with just 20 buckets in my wallet, doing autostop, and one camping: until the Tatacoa`s desert in order to see the milky way in the night. It was an awesome adventure that tought me a lot of things, and also I knew awesome landscapes and people.

Teach, Learn, Share

Enseño a ser pacientes, ya que todo llega a su tiempo, solo debemos esperar. A ver la vida desde múltiples perspectivas para aprender a ponernos en los zapatos de el otro. Y comparto todas mis experiencias aprendidas en cada viaje, obviamente también todo lo que concierne a mi carrera.

I can teach about patience, I am a really patient person, I think that all the things arrive in time, we just have to wait for the correct opportunities. Also the importance of watch the life with differents perspectives. I can teach also about my carrer and my native language (spanish), and about my experience in my travels :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

puedo ayudar a practicar el inglés y el francés, también ayudar con los deberes de la casa y a dar recomendaciones sobre lugares que ya e visitado y tal vez quieran conocer.

I can help to practise some French and a lot of Spanish, also I can help with the housekeeping and give advaises about the places that I know.
