Overview
About Me
Cornell University student. English major. NYC. Freelance writer. Advertising intern.
I like to write. I like to read. I like to walk around aimlessly and explore until my feet hurt.
Also in Chicago this summer. Desperately needing place July 30-August 12!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is my first time on couchsurfing. In the past, I've had really wonderful experiences on similar platforms (workaway, for example). I am an enormous advocate of immersive traveling. I (perhaps ignorantly) consider myself a global citizen. To be a global citizen is to be a perennial student of that which is different from you.
This is why I am on couchsurfing. To learn, to engage, to remedy prejudices and xenophobias, to enjoy life and to never forget that this is water.
I have turned to couchsurfing now, summer of 2017, for a rather specific reason though. I have an apartment in Chicago for the summer but the lease runs out on July 31st and I work until August 11th! Kinda an issue, right?
As such, I am in dire need of housing from August 1st to the 12th! However, I am in even more dire need of adventure. That is a perennial need, and one I am hoping to fulfill for the last two weeks of my stint in the Windy City.
