Overview
About Me
I'm a 21 years old Chilean college student, coursing my environmental engineering degree at Bucknell University in central Pennsylvania. I lived and studied for two years in The United World College of Southern Africa in Swaziland and prior to that, I lived all my life in Chile. I love meeting new people, discovering new places, and live new experiences. I believe in reciprocal kindness and the power of growing from challenges. I am a vegetarian, music lover, and an enthusiast for what lays ahead.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am here to find kind people whose kindness moves them to receive travelers like myself into their houses. Couchsurfing is not only a platform to conveniently find accommodation for some nights, but it is also the perfect tool to promote interactions between people that may or may not have similar views. This network also helps achieve a sense of global community where we're not just a group of individuals sharing spaces, but a network of people who can support each other.
Interests
I am really passionate about the environment and the music. I like to explore the world, meet new people and cultures, learn from the life and have new and exciting experiences. I enjoy doing outdoor activities and sports, a good hike or a run through some park are ideal for me, specially for relaxing myself. I am currently practicing yoga, volleyball, tango and singing in a choir.

Music, Movies, and Books
The music is the art that fulfills me, every good performance is a pleasure. Some of my favorite bands/musicians are The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Black Eyed Peas, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Chopin and Tchaikovsky.
I like to enjoy good movies, specially achronological movies where you have to decode the storyline. I also like to watch documentaries and comedies.
From the books I have read, my favorites are Siddhartha by Aldous Huxley and La Catedral del Mar by Idelfonso Falcones. The genres I like the most are historical and utopian novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to study for two years at a United World College School in Swaziland. This time was and will continue being a life-changing experience. Here I met very special and talented people from all around the globe, whose perspectives, insights and opinions constantly challenged my own views and helped me rediscover and reshape my own beliefs and opinions.
Teach, Learn, Share
There is a quote I always see in the library in my university which says: "We are all teachers here". I strongly believe this is very true because we all have something we can teach to somebody regardless their age or background. Part of why I like the idea of couchsurf is because of this exchange that enriches people and the world.
