About Me

I am a Mexican guy who has lived most of his life in Mexico. But since 2011 I haven't had the same address for more than two years.
On May 2016, as my brother and I explored one of the most cultural rich regions in Mexico, Oaxaca, I realized the magic of travelling.
I am addicted to new experiences, meeting new people and new places. I'm always down to try something new.
Right now I'm doing an internship in Fraunhofer analyzing the Life Cycle of consumer goods' packages. Google LCA!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, personally I think the best way to know a city is being as local as possible. This is the true value of CS. It connects you with people that really know the city you're visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any sort of music, you just have to play certain genre it in the right occasion. I don't play any musical instrument but I have basic knowledge of music structure.

Favorite books:
Hermann Hesse's "Siddhartha"
Jack Kerouac's "On the Road"
Not a favorite but I'm currently reading George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire".
If you could recommend good fictional novels I'd really love it. Reading "A thousand splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini made research so much about Afghanistan and its culture.

I'm ultra picky when it comes to movies but, just to say some titles, I liked movies like "The Shawshank Redemption", "The Revenant", "Pulp Fiction"... give me some hidden jewel!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In fall 2015 I managed to gather 100 MX pesos (5 USD) by selling simple rocks. It sound so stupid but try it yourself!

In May 2016 my twin and I backpacked to Maria Sabina's hometown in the middle of the Sierra Norte Oaxaqueña.

In July 2016 I solo-travelled to Pula, Croatia. One day I rented a bike and discovered the National Park Kamenjak at the southernmost point in the Istra peninsula. What a great day!

I enjoyed the Sun at a nudist beach in Vama Veche, Romania.

In September 2016 I was in another adventure in Romania. I ran out of money for the last two days before flying back home. Not a pleasant experience but it really shook my thoughts and opened my eyes a bit wider.

August 2017, my friend Sam and I cycled together from Vienna all the way to Belgrade following the Danube river. We met so many people so willing to help us. I learned a lot of cycling, travelling, and personal relationships.

Teach, Learn, Share

LEARN everything you can, it doesn't matter if it's good or bad just take it. Postive things make you happier (the challenge is to identify and be greatful about these experiences); bad things will only make you stronger and wiser.

Then SHARE only the things that made you happy! There's enough shit in this world for everyone. Avoid trying to "teach lessons" deliberately and just share what made you happy.

TEACH positive habits. Don't teach the content but the way how to master the content.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect! Your house, your rules. I think I have proper manners but if there's something I'm doing that bothers you please let me know! I'm not easily offended :) If there's something I should BE doing, the same, just let me know.

I'm very clean and tidy and I go by the rule of 'leave it as you found it'. I expect my guests to act the same way.

Don't worry about me when I go visit the city. I'm responsible, independent, and well oriented.

When it comes to cooking it's a bit hard in CS. I really enjoy cooking and I'd love to prepare something for you but I find it rather stressing to do it in alien kitchens. I mean sometimes kitchens are not properly equipped, you don't know where the things are, you have to ask for everything... ugh, sometimes you help more if you don't help at all. In my house let me have the lead. At your place... you lead.

Last but not least, I offer interesting conversations. I will ask you so many questions about where you come from and your culture. I mean, I love to learn!
