About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel through Europe, its been something I've wanted to do for quite a while, and it isn't until now that I have the chance to do it! I want to know the places, the people and very important, get to know myself better!

ABOUT ME

Well, born and raised in San José Costa Rica, I feel privileged for living in such a great country (with all its flaws as any country of course).
I speak spanish and english. After high school I entered the university to study business administration, but parallel to that I formed a progressive rock band where I play synthesizers, which quickly became my number 1 passion in life! The band has been together for 9 years and we were able to record a great album (critics says so, not me!) But being from a small country with little public interested on that type of music, there isn't much to grow actually, we do it for ourselves mainly :).
But yes, basically music is a very important part of my life, I have been deeply influenced by it and I'm a believer of it's power to interact with people's mood and character.

I enjoy to take the time to see beauty in nature, see the greatness of small things that usually most people don't see because they(we) are too busy on our routines and lifes full of stress,

I consider myself a very friendly person, people might think I'm a bit serious at first, but after knowing me they rapidly change that concept, I love humor and I enjoy to be laughing and joking around all day!

PHILOSOPHY

Mainly, I aim to be happy in life, I believe we are here to at least try to be happy if the opportunities are given. Waisting the whole life in a job simply to survive doesn't make much sense to me, and it's sad when people don't have an option rather than surviving everyday. As long as I have the chance to do it, I will honor my existence in this world by doing things that will help me grow as a human being, even though many of those things are still unknown to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No couch surfing experience before, I'm new to this organization. But when I was young, I did participate actively on an organization dedicated to summer villages for children and teens from around the world, and I absolutely love the interaction with people from other cultures and countries. During this process, many many times people from many countries hosted on my home, and when I had the opportunity to go on this camps (twice) I stayed for a few days on people houses prior to the camps. All were great experiences!

Interests

As I stated before, music is my great area of interest! Rock is the style I like the most, but I'm very open to all the music that is good and well done (that's subjective I know!)

  • singing
  • theater
  • beauty

  • surfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Progressive Rock is what I play and most of the music I enjoy listening!

I like inspiring movies, Braveheart has been my favorite film since it was released in 1994, I've seen it probably 100 times, no lies! Another good example is The Persuit of Happiness.

I don't read much, but I'm not a bad reader, I think I'm lazy on that aspect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, not a Pink Floyd show for sure, but having a band, playing gigs and recording a CD which generated great critics through out the world has been one of the best things I have experienced! The feeling of being on a stage, on a theater packed with hundreds of strangers singing your songs, is something simply great!
