About Me

I'm a colombian that has been adopted by Lyon city since 2011 "parce"!. Normally when a person is a cook,a baker or a pastry chef it's usual to have as a goal to come to France and learn from the best. It was my dream since I decided to study cuisine when I was a boy so due to dedication and some "cojones" I found what I was looking for and in the future I hope to become a good baker. "But what da fuck?" you will say, he says that he is a cook but he works in a bakery, It's like that. At the beginning I studied cuisine and when I was at the cook school I took some bakery lessons and believe me, it was like looking the girl of your dreams walking on the streets but she goes away, so I decided to hunt her. Talking about dreams, mine is to flood the streets of my natal city (Bogotá) for it's birthday with bread, I want that in that special day (7 august) every citizen of my dear city enjoys a piece of bread and a can of "Pony Malta"(it's made with barley as beer but u don't get wasted, it's sweet and really good). I find it's a way to show some gratitude to the place that raise me, also because it's nice to share a meal with people and for one day everybody will eat the same, no differences. But don't misunderstand me, cooking it's my passion so if we've the opportunity to meet up feel free to bring the wine that it will be a pleasure for me to cook for you.
It's been almost 4 years that I've the opportunity to live and discover this amazing city called Lyon. Impossible to not fall in love with this place. The fact of walking all over the bridges that cross the 2 rivers, le Rhone et la Saone, contemplate the fountains and squares that the city has to capture the heart of it's visitors and residents, gives a special charm to this place and inside you start feeling that u don't want to leave.
There's always something to do here and as we like it's for free, you can find free concerts in several parts of the city, also we've a huge park (Parc de la Tete d'Or) with a lake where u can take a boat or just walk around to enjoy the nature and if you like ducks there are a lot of them to feed or disturb, fell free. On the other side you can just take some drinks and sit next to the bank of any of the 2 rivers, enjoy the view, share a conversation with the neighbors and if you have "un poquito" of Marie lovely Jane it's the right spot to let the smoke rise and after if you are hungry I got what you need, if u are vegetarian I can show a really nice restaurant to eat a falafel of quality or if you are more kebab or shawarma style I've my confidence restaurant "Phenicia", in both cases as on T.V commercials if you are not satisfied I'll give your money back.
All the people that had the opportunity to come always say: "I hope to come back".
Visit Lyon and visit Colombia, not everything is as the media shows, actually we say about my country:
"El único riego es que te quieras quedar"
"The only risk is that you want to stay"
