About Me

I am a Colombian student in Germany, trying to finish my masters and discover as much of Europe as possible in the process. Before I used to play a lot of hockey (I know, crazy, but there is hockey in Colombia) and was travelling all around with my team, they were basically my family. Now I am more in a personal discovery stage, traveling much more only by myself. I have only been traveling by myself since 2016 so I still have a lot of things to learn and to discover. I am really excited to get to know new places and people of all characters. I will describe myself as easy going, I really don't care about much and I am open to try new things. Also I can sleep almost everywhere, you can't possibly guess how useful it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is the next stage of my travelling plans. I want to get out of my confort zone in hotels and hostels and try to meet locals through couchsurfing. I have heard some nice stories on the road that pushed me to try it also by myself. --

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost anything, just not in any extreme. My favorite band might be Mumford and Sons. I really like stuff from salsa to techno.
I have like a top 4 of favorite books: On the Road (Jack Kerouak), Rayuela (Julio Cortazar), A Hundred years of Solitude (Garcia Marquez) and the Steppenwolf (Hermann Hesse). I know, they are sort of cliche but bah.
In movies I can also watch everything. Maybe my favorite is still the Lion King :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I expect this to get much more impressive but until now:

Went from Hamburg to India without (almost) flying

Skydiving.

Accidentally swimming with sharks.

Crossing east Europe by train, bus, walking to visit a friend in Greece.

Keeping up with Germans at drinking beer at the Oktoberfest (almost).

Swiming with pink dophins in the Amazon river while staying away of anacondas and piranhas.

Snowboarding in the Alps (It was pretty awesome for me).

Teach, Learn, Share

Practice some Spanish

Open for crazy on the road stories.

The best hangover tricks - don't work anymore
