About Me

I have been back in Trinidad since early last year just before the world turned upside down.

I don't currently have an active personal blog with stuff to share but since I'm taking time to travel while studying remote maybe I'll starting writing publicly again. I care a lot about this world and the people in it.

It has been my ambition since my early teens to backpack, gain new experiences and be exposed to alternative ways of living and new experiences. Feel free to reach out, ask questions, etc. I try to be a sociable person and come from a generous familial culture. I try to carry the warmth and happiness that I received from the Caribbean sun that I grew up under everywhere that I go as a good trini and ambassador to my country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling and meeting new interesting people who can potentially turn into life long friends is pretty cool! I aspire to be the kind of person that goes out and tries to make that beautiful thought a reality.

Interests

I love the outdoors, dancing, cooking, reading, and drawing to name a few items on my lists of interests. More recently I've taken back up martial arts and started new hobbies like woodwork.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally listen to a variety of music, am super into film (I invested some energy taking film studies courses during my undergrad engineering degree) and I absolutely love books and will pretty much read anything anyone recommends. I try to stay open with regard to music, movies, tv and books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved someone from drowning when I was still in my late teens.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a native English speaker and did my first degree in the US so I can help anyone that may be interested in improving their English language skills. I can cook and bake. I read a lot and try to give people one on one focused attention so I try to practice maintaining good conversational skills. I can teach basic to intermediate programming and robotics. I am a strong swimmer and have taught in the past. I've tutored subjects such as mathematics and physics. I always try to help people wherever I can even if it something as simple as sharing information that may be relevant or connecting people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you more about my country, Trinidad and Tobago, and a little bit about what it means to be a true trini– chill, kind, fun and a friend for life.
