About Me

Hey, I'm Andrew, a guy that works in Physics research on big particle accelerators and hopes to one day live on Mars. Or, failing that, I hope to not be automated away in the coming AI-pocalypse. If even that is too much to ask, I simply beseech our robot overlords to grant us convenient restaurant options.

In the past I worked in marketing and sales, so I tend to be a pretty outgoing and sociable person. I made a big career switch into physics research and so thats what I do nowadays, which means I am a genuine nerd at heart that manages to get by disguised as a healthy and functioning adult male.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

meet cool new people, learn interesting things about areas from locals, trade life stories and learn from one another. Thrive and prosper in this incredible experiment called society.

But also, to travel around and expand my cultural horizons.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty Woman, National Lampoon's Family Vacation series, Mr. Robot, Rick and Morty ( which takes a very refined intellect to appreciate)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped in the Transylvanian mountains beneath a monastary, watching the full moon rise behind fog-covered mountains. I commemorated the moment by playing "monster mash" on my tinny smartphone speaker.

Teach, Learn, Share

Physics and math, social science, essay writing, juggling. all are equally important.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking delicious meals, talking about interesting things in science, mathematics, history and society. I can also give actual lessons in math and physics if people are interested, its something I actually enjoy doing quite a lot!
