Hi!

My name is Andrew Cunningham and I am from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I am currently in the process of finishing my masters degree in Software and Electronic Systems Engineering while working part time as an Android Developer in Belfast city centre.

I have always been keen about travelling and seeing people and places that I never thought I would. I live for that moment of "WOW!" when you arrive in a new destination and start realising there is so much to explore.

My previous adventures have usually been with friends or family but I am starting to branch out from that and try something new: flying solo.

My next travel goals are Tokyo and Las Vegas!

My accommodation has always been pretty much the same, hotel or hostel.

I stayed in my first few hostels while I was Inter-railing in 2014 and I absolutely loved it! It was an amazing experience meeting people from all over the world and sharing stories, something you would never really do in a hotel.

That friendly and sharing feeling always stuck with me but I think using Couchsurfing would make for an even better experience. I would love to meet people who are from or living in the city that I am visiting to get a really insiders view into my new surroundings. I want to make sure I can understand the place I am visiting, not just take pictures.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music:
I love too many artists to write them all down here! I have a real mixed taste of music however; I can go from Britney to Kanye to Mozart. Depends on how I am feeling!

Movies and books are something I really need to start getting into! I have got a list of movies that my friends and family say I have to watch and I am thinking of starting one for books too, if you have any suggestions please let me know!

I am here to learn as much as possible and hopefully pass on any knowledge I have too! Learning is a fundamental part of me using Couchsurfing.
