About Me

Hi everyone,

I'm a 25 year old engineer from Leicester. I'm travelling around Europe over July and August while between jobs, motorcycling and doing some workaway-ing.

This is my first time using Couchsurfing and my first time travelling alone. I'm taking the oppertunity while travelling to meet new people, have interesting conversation and explore a fraction of Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to try Couchsurfing as it seems to be a excellent way of meeting people and learning more about people's lives in different countries.
There is of course also the important money saving factor, however I would obviously be glad to pay for my own expenses as well as cooking a meal or two and cleaning up after myself (I'm no Jamie Oliver but no one's died yet).

Interests

I love motorcycling (though I am a bit of a novice).
I also love doing sports like cycling, hiking and martial arts (though I'm not so interested in watching sports, so don't ask me to discuss football).
I am an engineer, and enjoy taking about it, though I understand others may not find it so interesting.
Travel is of course something I love, so far I've only made it as far as Europe and one really great trip to Brazil, during which I spent all my money, hence I'm limiting myself to Europe this time :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I've got a pretty broad music taste, but my top 5 are:
Stereophonics, Reef, We Are The Ocean, Joe Bonamassa, Muse

I'm not great on movies to be honest, I'm more of a reader, though I do like the occasional series like Game of Thrones.

I love books, mostly travel books (Ted Simon, etc), Fantasy (Terry Pratchett, Jasper Fforde, etc) and historical fiction (Bernard Cornwell, The 3 Musketeers, Flashman, etc).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's between Interrailing for a month as that was my first taste of real travel and going to Brazil this year because it was awesome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
