About Me

Hi! Most people call me Drew or Dandy. I grew up and live mostly in Colorado. I'm all about the action sports! Snowboarding is my número uno, and just to name a few I love to mountain bike, climb, raft, backpack, and then some. I'm addicted to travel, and I hope you are too. A few months out of the year I guide commercial class III- class V whitewater rafting trips in Durango, CO, and the rest of the year I bounce around the country managing operations and logistics for action sport competitions, races, and concerts. My family is still in the Denver area and I keep very close contact with them. Bottom line, I'm genuinely happy and I do the best I can to fill my time with as many enjoyable experiences and the best vibes I can. Fun is the road to victory!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im new to couchsurfing.com but I've got a few years experience couch surfing. I've heard from many people that this website is great and now I'm trying it. As I'm typing this I'm actually sitting in the Salt Lake City, UT airport trying to figure out where I'm staying tonight. I'm here to work the Enduro mountain bike race in canyons and I don't have lodging until tomorrow. I was hoping I could find a place to crash tonight because I don't have the means to pay for a hotel and if I don't find anything I'm sleeping on my pad with a sleeping bag.

After the immediate success searching for a place that night, I found that the overwhelming support of our fellow couch-surfers was quite helpful as well as inspiring! I'm not in a position to host just yet, but look forward to the day that I have the opportunity to contribute. For the time being, I'll see you at your place. ; )

My livelihood depends and thrives on traveling. Between my passion for the outdoors as well as my desire to experience the benefits we all enjoy in visiting new places Couchsurfing.com is a wonderful way to reduce expenses and help keep me moving!

Interests

Oops, I kind of already explained this in the about me. I like to drink and party, especially when it involves live music or games, like billiards, but I'm more likely to skip it to go to bed early so I can get up and play!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm the cliche person who actually does listen to all types of music. It generally depends on what I'm doing. I don't watch a lot of movies. And my favorite books to name a couple are Edward abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang and Herman Hesse's Siddhartha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well my mother thinks I'm pretty amazing but you might not be as easy to convince.... I think one of the accomplishments that has brought me the most joy is success in developing a career and a lifestyle that has allowed me to become the incredibly happy, flexible, experienced individual that I am and I've done so at a very young age!
