About Me

A gentleman and a scholar in all things with a musical soul. I used to play in bands, but I still like to jam with any and all musicians in any style. For the past few years I've been working on a full length motion picture, while also producing music videos and dance videos along the way. I'm also an artist, but have been mostly too busy to do anything, except when I'm on the road.

I've hosted a lot of travelers, usually other bands and musicians on tour through town, but now that I'm on this platform, I'd love to host all sorts of people from around the world. Did I mention I love right where the Grand Canyon ends?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a bit for art handling and video gigs, but it's not worth it if I have to spend the majority of my earnings on hotels. I also like to really get to know a city of I'm going to be there for a couple days and for me that means meeting people and having conversations. I used to crash on a lot of floors when my band was touring so breaking bread with strangers is second nature to me.

Interests

There's not a lot I'm not interested in. Sports is one thing I don't follow, but even so, I still like to play them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Unfortunately I only get to read a couple books a year, but I love fiction in the vein of John Steinbeck, Milan Kundera, Kurt Vonnegut Jr, Tom Robbins. I know I know, I should read more female authors.

Music lately has been dominated by neo soul and hip hop although rock and roll, jazz, and hardcore genres will always be in my heart. My latest rotations are heavy on Anderson Paak, Hiatus Kaiyote, Talking Heads, Vince Staples, Tortoise, Erykah Badu.

I've actually been watching a lot more movies the past couple years, because my filmmaking has moved on from just music and dance vids to narrative films.

What I Can Share with Hosts
