One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have not only survived thus far but thrived

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my art and my love of Irish cultural history among other things. Here is one of my poems:

A dagger, a disc, a will, a well.
Salamander, Sylph and Gnome.
Undine lithe and yielding foam,
A dagger, a disc, a will, a well.

Fire, air, earth and water.
A King, A Queen, A Prince, a daughter.
The King and Queen in slumber deep.
Dreamed a dream they were asleep.
Then woke within their dream to find,
Their crowns and sceptre left behind.

Like rotten fruit, so far they fell
that who they were they could not tell.
The King perceived himself a Prince,
And has sought his true love ever since.

The Queen become the daughter now
Fell hard to earth from highest bough.
And stunned could not recall her King
Her starry heritage or anything.
This cruel delusion was so complete,
She swallowed this vale of tears conceit.

But her loving Prince did not forget,
And longed to hold his Juliet.
This longing like the sun did burn,
Forging a path for his Queen’s return.

Ra, Khephra, Tum and Ahathoor,
reveal a secret fourfold door.
Reuniting Prince and Daughter.
Disc and dagger. Fire, water

Coagula of Spirit bind them,
And Solve in parity unwind them.
A kiss to break the magic spell.
A dagger, a disc, a will, a well.

By their love awakened and vows intoned
Our monarchs are once more enthroned.
And consumating those vows that night,
All is bathed in infinite light.

Ah, but bliss is passing here and gone.
As a wheel in motion must move on
And so with unification’s glow withdrawn,
a weary Queen stifles a yawn.
Sweetly kisses her King goodnight,
and yields once more to fancy’s flight.

To sleep, perchance to dream.
To love perchance to wake.
