About Me

EN: I'm someone who likes laughing and thinking and talking and doing. If you like to explore the long and short of our place in the world in winding conversations, if you like being in your body and your mind and the here and now, drop me a quick hello and we can see what we can get up to from there.

My friends know me as someone with a keen and irreverent sense of humour and that it is very intertwined with who I am. People who don't get me don't get that. It takes two to dance the foxtrot as they say in the funny papers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling in the south of Mexico this month and I'm flying home to Montreal on May 30th from Cancun. At the moment, I'm in Chiapa de Corzo and heading to the Pacific coast and then to Oaxaca and Mexico City. Then maybe to Tabasco and Quintana Roo.

If you'd like to join me for any of this or suggest a better itinerary, drop me a line...

Music, Movies, and Books

Loving Sally Rooney's new book "Normal People" and that's making me think I should go back and read Jane Austen (who Rooney pointed out is the first English novelist who's regularly read and is clearly an influence).

Also reading "Lost Children's Archive" by Valeria Luiselli.

En español leo ahora la Muerte de Artemio Cruz pero este va menos rápido y necesito mas concentration por eso.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm very happy with my Master's thesis. It is research that I hope to expand and spread to a wider audience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good at explaining complicated things in a simple way. I think that's an important skill.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking with people and I think it's a great way of getting to know new friends.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cuba, Guatemala, Haiti

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, England, Spain
